He has served as Denmark’s Minister of Culture and is the founder of both the Kaospilot school and the political party Alternativet. For over four decades, Uffe has worked as a leader, entrepreneur, educator, and social innovator with a consistent focus on people, creativity, and values in action. Uffe is also the author of three books — Et liv (A Life, 2022), Tvivl, Håb & Handling (Doubt, Hope & Action, 2023), and Mirakler i Mejlgade (2024) — where he reflects on his journey across culture, politics, and society. But this session is not a lecture or book talk. It’s a chance to access Uffe’s experience directly, to ask questions, and to connect with someone who has spent a lifetime creating new ways of thinking and acting. This 1:1 is designed for those curious about leadership, social change, or living with integrity in times of uncertainty — and who want to explore these themes in an open, personal dialogue.

Throughout his career, Jan has worked on prestigious projects worldwide, including the Sydney Opera House with his father, and has designed over 50 buildings in countries such as Angola, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa and Congo. He studied architecture at the Sydney School of Architecture (1964—66) and the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen (1966—1970). Today Jan follows his curiosity and creative spirit. In 1994, Garba founded Crossing Borders, an NGO based in Copenhagen dedicated to promoting dialogue, understanding, and global citizenship through education and storytelling. His work has taken him around the world, inspiring individuals and communities to use their voices as tools for change and connection. This 1:1 session — “Tell Your Story” — offers you the chance to reflect on your own narrative together with Garba. You’ll write based on simple prompts and there’s time to talk, reflect, and listen. The experience is for anyone who likes to write, reflect, or just wants to slow down. You don’t need to be good at writing or used to sharing. The format is simple, open, and guided by Mette. Walk, Write and Talk is in Danish, but internationals who want to practice are very welcome. You don’t need to be fluent. Mette is used to cross-cultural spaces and is good at making people feel comfortable, no matter their level. About Mette:* Mette describes herself as a world citizen with Danish roots. She’s an entrepreneur, author, and writing guide who values conversations that go beyond the surface. She’s lived across countries, worked with people from different cultures, and collected perspectives along the way. Today, it has a waiting list of several years, a living example of how architecture, lifestyle, and shared values can come together. Marianne has been married to her husband Henning for more than 50 years, and together they chose this way of living as an intentional life decision. Known in the community for her cooking, especially Italian food, inspired by years of learning and by her family ties to Italy, Marianne brings warmth, generosity, and curiosity to every conversation. This 1:1 session is a chance to learn directly from someone who has experienced how architecture, shared facilities, and collective organisation can support independence, connection, and meaningful daily life.
